Here’s an oldie but a goodie. My waterproof Minelab Explorer II project. This was done years ago prior to the arrival of the Equinox. This has been done before on similar levels but this was unique in the fact that you could still operate the front face buttons.
It had a 1/2″ plexiglass frame that it sat inside of and then a front and back sealed on it so no water would get it. There was also a waterproof battery case and connection point for the coil connectors.
The connections on the back plate were also waterproofed and then pressure tested
Overall this was a fun project but as time went on and I was using the Excalibur more, this just kind of sat around so I ended up selling it off to someone that really wanted it.
I’m hoping in the near future I can so something similar for the Equinox.
