Well now that I have some free time, I can do some more designing with the Hydra-HPs which were mainly for wading but now I am taking it a step further with fully waterproof headphones for underwater metal detecting.
There will be now 3 different models to the Hydra-HPs. The first one is for wading and is waterproof but not meant for diving. These are already featured here and will be now called the Hydra-HP-M1. These are waterproof but cannot handle the depth of underwater pressure. This is done by design because you get the loudest sound with these and the most outside sound buffering.

The new 2nd version will be the same audio receivers but rated for diving with a new inner piece that seals the front completely called the Hydra-HP-M2. Like all underwater rated headphones, they sound will be more stifled since it has to be be sealed by solid plastic in the front. But you will still get the same audio response like the M1’s because, unlike most diving headsets, these actually use audio speakers while other use only peizo drivers. Thus you will still get the audio range you are looking for.
That brings me to the the 3rd version, Hydra-HP-M3, which does use peizo drivers for the headphones. The main reason I made these were for the Excalibur which in some cases, folks like to use Pinpoint mode exclusively to metal detect. These will help with that and give you a much better response than the stock ones. In some cases, some folks can hear a difference in pinpoint mode, so much so that they can discriminate with them.
These also work for the Equinox as well so any version can be used depending on your machine.
