Hey folks. It’s been a while but just thought I would post this quick update and upgrade for a friend of mine. He had a newer Sea Ghost case that I ordered and this time I requested an extra pair of wires to be soldered on to the M12 connector port.
This extra pair allow me to not have to splice into an existing pair in order to do the remote pinpoint mod which really helped out much better and made life a lot easier. However this detector needed some help since it’s first upgrade.
As a result, I had to put together a new full grip and fix the pinpoint wire that was shorting out. Needless to say it got a lot of use and abuse. Plus I updated the shaft with a new carbon fiber shaft with a new shaft lock.
Fortunately it all worked out pretty good. Nothing serious and the detector worked well after testing. In any case, this combo with custom Hydra-HP headphones has turned into a very formattable machine.
